Social reporter
As a social reporter you will dive into the World Gymnaestrada and watch special moments, spot media exposure opportunities and provide extra content. You are skilled at using social media and you know exactly which content will score well. As a social reporter, you are the extra pair of eyes for our content team! To ensure that no one sits inside behind the computer all day and does not experience anything from the event, the Social Webcare task is alternated with the task of Social Reporter.

Social media webcare
AIn addition to all participants and visitors of the World Gymnaestrada, there are of course also many people all over the world who follow the WG2023 remotely via the app, website and socials. There are a wide range of questions that come in and need to be answered during the event. As a Social Webcare volunteer you monitor all questions that come in via the social media channels. You ensure that all questions are answered quickly, but especially in a friendly way.

Journalist/editor
As an editor, you are instructed to go to a particular venue, sport or side event to gather information. You take notes about the most important events about your specific topic and you then write an article about them. Together with your fellow editors you ensure that your article is edited and then you put your article as a draft in our WordPress website. These articles are checked by the coordinator, possibly adjusted a bit and then published on the website as a recap of the day.

TikTok Dance Box/photo booth
There will a photo booth where people can take a picture with attributes during the event. These photos are printed on paper. It will be your task to enthuse people to make use of the dance box / photo booth. This means that this position will be very much in contact with participants and public.

Press centre reception
The Media Centre will will be supported by volunteers, who mainly man the reception desk. This is the place where media will check in upon arrival and where media will ask all kinds of specific and operational questions, such as what is the WiFi code, where can I eat, how and where can I photograph, how do I get in touch with a participant from [country], where can I find the results, how do I know which country should perform where, etc. Volunteers will help man this reception desk. There will be an FAQ list for frequently asked questions. At the beginning of each shift, a briefing takes place in the Media Centre so that you know what to expect that day and what the points of attention are.
